Company of Heroes Review
07 Dec 2006
Well, thanks to SWAT we now have a quick look into what I would consider the one of the most enjoyable RTS games I have played to date. Read his Company of Heroes Review here. To me it feels a lot like Call of Duty but you get to control more than one soldier.
If any of the rest of you feel the desire to write a review for a game you have played and enjoyed, or even disliked please feel free to either submit it.
| Website/Forums Relocation....
12 May 2007
Ok folks.
The MOS website and forums have been moved from one server to another.
This is good and bad news.
The good news is the website moved without incident. All content intact, etc...
The forums on the other hand need extensive love and care.
We're working on getting this problem fixed. In the interim, the forums are offline.
We apologise for the inconvenience and hope to have this resolved as soon as possible.

| MOS Battlefield 2 Update
12 May 2007
Its been a while since anyone posted an update of any kind, so im going to change that.
We have just completed a season of the Gamearena 10v10 league where we finished 45th out of 88 teams registered on the ladder. Not
exactly the end we had hoped for but there is always next season to look forward to & improve on our efforts.
We have also had a few new faces emerge within the ranks & a couple to unfortunately leave. This has always been the case for MOS & many clans, so theres not really anything new there in that regard. Our most loyal of followers are still amongst us & their time & patience has been tested again & again. I personally thank them for their efforts & their will to stick with us though the most arduous of times.
We are hoping to kick start our training off again soon, which ive always found to be the most enjoyable part about being in a clan such as MOS. We need to put alot of work in if we are going to better ourselves for the next ladder. At the moment i beleive that is our main objective & training as a team is the only thing we can do to acheive that goal.
| Another BF2 Update.
24 Sep 2006
Its been quite a while since an update was posted so i thought i might type one up while i had some free time, Something i havent had alot of lately.
The BF2 squad has undergone a few changes as of late, with a couple of new rifles among the ranks & a bit more war experience aswell. Unfortunately our luck had to come to an end, and has done so recently with us losing to SOBR, AEF.6K, SoD & NSOF. Whilst winning against AEF.DR & through a recent forfeit, our old friends WTF. Leaving us on 9 wins & 4 loses & at 9th place on the GS ladder.
With another 4 wars on the horizon, thats going to obviously change very soon. Hopefully for the better, regardless, stay tuned & i will try to keep you all informed to the results as often as humanly possible.

| MOS BF2 Update
24 Aug 2006
The past week has brought a lot of controversy, frustration & confusion our way with a recent war with TP, yet also triumph & satisfaction with our win against ZW last night.
The TP war was looking to be a good battle, but early server problems becoming a problem, they luckily panned out to a suitable level before we started our war, so we played Round one, the match only lasted 6 minutes as our troops dominated the game. Yet unbeknown to MOS forces, an even greater war was on the horizon, as just after the battle had ended TP were outraged at the "lag" problems with the server & left in haste. We were soon advised that they had declared a dispute against our battle before we had even left the server.
Still hoping they would come back & continue the fight, MOS troops stuck it out in the server for a good 30 minutes or so, left to face off against each other & wonder why TP had disputed when the server was fine, we had fun anyway & proved our point. MOS taking victory with one of our largest winning margins so far, 112 - 0. Also winning the dispute, thanks to the GS admins for seeing the truth & handing us what we truly deserved, the win.
Trying to put the recent incident behind us, we had more important issues to deal with, Strike at Karkand & clan ZW. Lucky for us, ZW are a top blokes & they fought hard to stand their ground.
With MOS on the defensive as MEC in the first round, ZW went for an interesting tactic of rushing all their armour & vehicles up the east side of the map. We honestly weren
| MOS Disarm WTF
14 Aug 2006
Wars against WTF have always been a great event, they are a good bunch of blokes who like to play for fun like ourselves & we have a long history of matches against one another. We have alot of respect for them.
Our past matches have been relatively tricky. this match was no exception, With MOS attempting to keep their winning streak ongoing & WTF hungry to get their first win & make an appearance on the ladder, it was destined to be a good battle.
Round 1 started with our boys on the defensive as MEC forces, we knew we would have to move quick as the american tank & APC were closer than our tank at the back of the map. So we set up C4 & mines everywhere in hope of slowing their armoured advance, which seemed to work quite well to begin with. Then in came their infantry from everywhere, choking the alleyways south of hotel with gunfire & grenades all over the place. So we hit back, throwing everything we had at them, but it wasnt enough apparently, with WTF capturing hotel breifly stirring up the beehive in the process. They then made an advance onward to square, where the majority of our forces where spawning. It wasnt long till we reclaimed the hotel flag & bunkered down once more to hold all the way till the end. MOS Victory 85 - 0.
After the first round effort, our men were on a high & our opportunity to be US had us with both the APC & battle tank at our disposal, which we put to good use straight away. With a cunning plan to put into action we went about our attack, with 1 squad heading to Hotel & the other moving round the back. Yet, we ended up capturing square first, with a hummer & a few soldiers
on the flag, it didnt take long. With square under our control it sent WTF on a mission to recapture it, leaving their other points undermanned which we took advantage of as quickly as possibly taking hotel & marketplace soon after, with all capture points under our control, it was just a matter of mopping up the remaining forces & bringing home the win. MOS Victory 132 - 0.
As always, great game WTF, fantastic sportsmanship & we wish you good luck with your future matches. You guys did a decent job for your first war in the 10v10 ladder, keep it up.
Thanks to Rayz & Cob for sitting out, and to GH, hope you get your connection sorted soon bud. Kudos to Spear also, with another fine effort as our commander. Top of the ladder & 5 wins 0 losses, top effort fellas.

| MOS VS AEF.
10 Aug 2006
I must congratulate our MOS boys for another hard fought war on mashtuur city, and another well earned victory making it 4 in a row & holding our place at the top of the ladder. Without our regular commander Swat to play due to dental reasons, we had Spear as our commander who did a fantastic job as a replacement & let our squads know exactly what was going on via his tactical map. (Look out Swat, he may take your job :P ).
The first round was intense with AEF taking advantage of the US team by taking North bridge with their armour while a hummer full of troops took road construction. With their armoured units at North bridge firing over the river destroying our armour as soon as it spawned, things looked very grim for the MOS forces. With the tickets rapidly depleting for our soldiers & time running out, we were looking down the barrel of our first defeat, yet we still didnt give up & struck back as hard as we could.
We eventually took control of road construction and slowly made an advance toward south base with AEF troops determined to hold it & regain their defensive stronghold at road construction. but our MOS boys didnt let that strike us back & so we pushed on, eventually finding some luck with Rayz doing a great job in taking out the enemy APC, and my squad taking advantage of it when it respawned at south base to use it against AEF's own troops.
Once we took the flag at south base we had contol of all armoured vehicles advancing onto attack north bridge securing it soon after & ended up winning the match. This was definately the most intense round of BF2 i have ever played. MOS Victory 12 - 0.
The second round saw a massive morale boost for the MOS battalion & with our turn to be the US forces we took full advantage of it. With our armoured forces heading to north bridge, and a squad in a hummer heading to Hotel & catching AEF off guard with an early capture. with Hotel, north bridge & south base under our control we switched over to defence & held up well for most of the map with AEF desperately trying to regain control of hotel & almost managing to do just that on several occasions.
Yet we stood our ground with everything we had with Res doing a great job at north bridge in his battle tank & Rayz & Silent holding South base to the end. Eventually running down AEF's tickets & taking the win 85 - 0.
Great war AEF, and an even greater result for our MOS boys. Cheers to Bunny & GH for sitting on the bench. Well done fellas, it looked like we were facing a loss there for a moment, only to turn the tables & take victory, i have never been prouder to be a member of such a great group of soldiers. Excellent result.

| MOS Make It 3 In A Row
02 Aug 2006
Tonight saw MOS take on clan AHA, with no knowledge of their capabilities, we expected a tough challenge. After a few minutes of getting things together, the war was soon underway.
With MOS starting out as MEC, we had a bit more organisation than with previous wars, it was a good sign. AHA started the map with a quick attack on the 2 neutral capture points, quickly taking road construction & then setting up defence on the opposite side of the bridge. MOS forces took advantage of this & stole the flag from them rapidly but had problems with their troops dug in on the opposite side of the river. An artillery strike soon took care of their fortified position & our squad was able to move in & mop up the leftovers. While all this was happening, Our second squad was making a move on the North bridge taking it with ease & allowing our tank to move through the area relatively unscathed. With 3 capture points under our control, our forces made their final assault on the enemy HQ, with troops moving across the bridge from road construction to the south & armour attacking from the mosque we had them boxed in, quickly taking the flag. But AHA had snuck a squad around the back to make a move on road construction, which was noticed by our commander & an APC was hailed to take out this last threat, once & for all. MOS Victory 92 - 0.
The second round saw our chance to be the US. With a cunning plan up our sleeves we tore into action, but AHA soon brought our plan down with a massive defensive force at hotel. We had to adapt our tactics & make amends, taking north bridge quickly & road construction soon after, it was looking like a bloodbath at hotel, with a fierce battle unfolding in the region. Once the dust had settled & MOS had claimed hotel, it was just a matter of mopping up the remaining troops scattered around the place & the win was as good as ours. MOS Victory 90 - 0.
GG AHA, well played, MOS wishes you good luck with the rest of your battles & better luck next time.
Thanks to Res & Rayz for sitting this one out, never know when reserves will be needed. Great effort MOS, stand proud.

| MOS make a mess of MVM
26 Jul 2006
Tonight saw our soldiers take on clan Man VS Machine. Both teams played well & everything went rather smoothly.
The first round saw MOS as the US forces taking advantage of the APC aswell as a battle tank. With 1 squad moving in on hotel efficiently within the first couple of minutes, & the other making a route to marketplace not long after. Once we had control of both capture points we had them surrounded at square, overpowering them in a matter of minutes. Resulting in MOS taking the win 100 - 0.
Round 2 saw MOS on the defensive as MEC, quickly throwing down mines everywhere. Which were rather handy in slowing their armoured advance. MVM made a nice attempt at taking market with a handful of troops rocking up there in a hummer. Lucky for us our commander SWAT called it in early & we had an ambush set up before they arrived. This round was a long fight compared with the first round with MVM almost taking Hotel on many occasions & managing to capture it once, which was rapidly reclaimed by MOS troops. Running their tickets down to 0 in the end, it was another MOS victory. Winning 93 - 0.
Great match MVM, good luck with the rest of your season.
Also a big thanks to Darbs who sat out as a reserve for this match, cheers mate.

| MOS get the cogs of war rolling.
20 Jul 2006
Tonight saw our first victory in the Gamespace 10v10 League. With our boys taking the win over COG, winning both rounds on the map Sharqi Peninsula.
The first few minutes of round 1 was a bit confusing for our guys as we all struggled to get things together, but once we did we were off to a firing start. With COG soldiers moving in on the construction site early in the map the battle was instantly on, they were coming at us from everywhere. We lost a player early which was a disadvantage to our side, but we fought on hard, which payed off in the end with our guys taking the win 47 - 0.
The second round saw good teamwork with squads moving with tactical accuracy, simultaneously attacking Construction site & Office buildings. The COG Defence werent prepared to let us take their offices so easily & they put up a good fight to hold them. While all this was happening, a squad was stealthily moving around the rear of the TV station & met minimum resistance, easily taking the flag. Once that was accomplished our troops had the advantage of 2 battle tanks on the field & moved in on the office buildings to finish the job & bring home the win 104 - 0.
Good game COG, you guys showed great sportsmanship & we wish you good luck in your future matches for the rest of the 10v10 League. Well done guys.

It looks like The long awaited Fortress Forever may be hitting our PCs sooner than anticipated.
The fellas have been quite busy by the looks of things, putting maps together quicker than cooking up 2 minute noodles.
Their dev team has just got even larger with some new talent adding to their ranks, which should hopefully progress things faster still.
Lucky for us, they have released a couple more screenies & have announced that they will be unleashing a beta version sometime in early August.
Check out their site for more info.

| MOS BF2 Update
05 Jul 2006
Things are coming along well in the MOS BF2 camp. We now have a rather healthy amount of troops formed & have been recently scrimming with our old friends clan WTF.
Currently we are (along with the entire BF2 community) waiting for the new patch to fix the current one, which is flawed with more bugs than the Amazon. Results from our recent scrims have been positive as we get a taste for real war in the realm of Battlefield 2, without the nuisances currently faced in todays public BF2 servers.
We are also still looking for some new blood to add to the ranks. If you have the time & want to be part of a great clan such as ours, jump on our forums, we would love to hear from you. But hurry, its for limited time only.
